One job Claude does your way, every time: your estimate, your monthly report, your new-hire checklist.
We officially plan to be open on December 1st, 2026. We're having FREE CALLS and ESTIMATES. Call now and you'll be one of the first people in line when we officially launch. We'll send emails as it gets closer to the date with more updates. Thank you, and I look forward to working with you. -Tommy
Invoices, scheduling, payroll, new-hire paperwork, appointment reminders, student-parent emails, repair estimates, researching a tech manual. It all adds up to hours every week. We set up Claude, an AI assistant, to handle them the way you would, so you get those hours back. One-person LLC or a company of thirty or more, we set it up for you.
Check anything that sounds like your week. Each one is a job we can set Claude up to handle.
Nothing checked yet.
Start the free checkWe talk with you on a video call, find the jobs to hand off first, and send you an estimate. The free check is a good place to start.
A short AI audit in your files shows how the work flows today and turns the estimate into your quote. Then we build: skills for single jobs, workflows that run on their own schedule, and plugins for the whole team, each one tested on your real work.
Claude handles the repetitive work in the background, and you get a written report on what's next.
Tommy Samson grew up in Maine, graduated from Maine Maritime Academy and spent ten years at sea as a marine engineer, earning his Chief Engineer's license. Now he's back home in Saco with his family, automating the work for the people who keep Maine running.

We set up Claude, the AI from Anthropic, to take over the back-office work that eats your day. Already use ChatGPT? We set that up too.
One job Claude does your way, every time: your estimate, your monthly report, your new-hire checklist.
A whole job from start to finish, several steps in a row. Some run when you ask. Others run on their own schedule.
A toolbox. It bundles skills and the connections to your email and files into one install, so everyone in a role gets the same setup.
Custom software development for anything a skill, workflow or plugin can't handle. If you have an idea for your business, we can build it. Custom quote applies.
A 2-hour hands-on video session for your team. Each person practices on their own work and leaves with a one-page guide. Request a quote.
One page, in plain English: what never goes into AI, which accounts to use, and what needs a person's OK before it goes out. It's a practical guide, not legal advice. Request a quote.
Anthropic's new agent. It keeps working while you're away, sends you a morning brief, and asks before anything important goes out.
Claude Duet is in early access for Claude Pro and Max members in the US. If you're a Duet member, we can help build custom workflows for it, so it works with your prices, your paperwork and your customers.
Duet access comes from Anthropic, not from us.
Seven steps, from trying AI out to having it run on its own.
Someone uses Claude or ChatGPT now and then. It stops when they do.
It only works when that person sits down and types. When they're out on a job or on vacation, nothing happens.
Your prices, services and everyday answers, written down once.
Your services and prices, your customers and vendors, the questions you get every week. We keep separate folders for the office, the field and the books, so Claude works from your information instead of guessing, and each area stays separate.
Done your way, and tested on last month's real work.
We talk with whoever does the job and write down how they do it: the steps, the templates, what a good result looks like and what it should never do. Then we test each skill on your real emails and paperwork before it touches anything live. The skills are yours, in plain files. If a better tool comes along someday, they go with you.
Some jobs run when you ask. Others run on a schedule with your laptop closed.
Say "quote the deck job on Elm Street" and one request runs the whole workflow. Other jobs should happen whether anyone remembers or not: the morning inbox sort, Friday invoice reminders, the Monday bid list. Those run in your own Claude account while your computer sleeps. Anything that needs a file kept only on your computer still needs that computer on, so we keep that to a minimum.
A plugin for each role, and access kept tidy.
Skills and connections get bundled into a plugin for each role, like an office plugin and a field plugin, so a new hire has the whole setup on day one. Improvements are made once, in the plugin, and reach everyone who uses it. Everyone has their own login and sees only what their job needs. Unused connections are removed, and when someone leaves, their access is removed too.
One finished job starts the next, with your OK where it counts.
We link your workflows together. A signed quote sets up the job folder, drafts the materials list and puts the job on the calendar. Anything going to a customer or moving money waits for your approval.
Claude handles the routine work. You make the judgment calls.
The decisions, the unusual cases and your customer relationships stay with you.
Every morning Claude reads the inbox and lines up your day. Every Monday it lists who owes you money and drafts the reminders. Every Friday it sends you a wrap-up of the week. Nothing goes out without your approval.
Connected to your email, Claude drafts replies in your voice, digs up the quote or document someone is asking about, flags what's urgent, and asks before anything goes out.
Your manuals, drawings, procedures and handbooks loaded into your own Claude, with rules for which source wins. Ask in plain words and get the answer with the page it came from.
Invoices, estimates and payment reminders written from your notes and spreadsheets. You check them and send them.
Bid responses, contract summaries and grant applications drafted from your past work, with every deadline pulled out.
Delivery and service requests drafted and tracked. Confirmed dates go on your calendar.
Posts, ads and newsletters in your voice, plus a plain read on which ads bring calls.
Claude works inside Excel: job costing, price lists and formulas.
One simple system for where things go. Meeting notes turned into minutes.
Hands-on time with each person over video, plus a one-page cheat sheet.

No. We do the setup, show each person how to use it in plain English, and leave a one-page guide.
On a video call, you show us how the day really runs, and where the time goes.
We pick the right Claude plan and set up the logins in your name.
About 45 minutes each, set up around their own job: their forms, their questions, their way of writing.
Everyone gets a one-page guide. We answer whatever's left.
Claude is strong at the work that fills a small-business office: writing, reading long documents, and running scheduled tasks with your email, calendar and files. If your team already uses ChatGPT, we can set that up instead.
A short list of the jobs that eat your time, an hour or so with each person who'll use it, and access to the email and file accounts you want connected. You type in your own passwords.
Yes. If you have an idea for a tool, like a map of your job sites that your crew can open on their phone, we can build it. Custom quote applies.
It depends on the job. Your written quote includes the timeline before any work starts.
No. We work by video call and screen share, so it works wherever you are.
A skill starts at $200, a workflow at $500 and a plugin at $1,000, each a one-time price. Workflows, plugins and custom builds start with a short AI audit, billed by the hour and usually 1 to 3 hours, shown on your estimate. A monthly retainer starts at $1,500. See all prices.
A few hours in your files and systems, learning how the work flows today, before we build a workflow, plugin or custom tool. It turns your estimate into a quote and shows where the time goes. A single skill usually needs no audit. After every job you get a written report with what we set up, what we found and a priced list of what's next, at no charge.
Usually one Claude plan: $20 a month per person for Claude Pro, or $25 a seat for a Claude Team plan, paid straight to Anthropic. The free version is fine for trying Claude out, but the routines and connections we set up need a paid plan.
No. Claude's terms don't allow sharing a login, and each person's setup is built around their own job. Everyone gets their own seat. A Team plan puts everyone on one bill, with admin controls.
If something we set up isn't working in the first 30 days, we fix it at no charge.
Only when you say so. Claude drafts the reply, shows it to you, and sends it when you give the OK. If you'd rather, we keep it to drafts only and you hit send yourself.
Mostly, yes. Routines that work from your email, calendar and online files run on Anthropic's servers, so they keep their schedule even when your computer is asleep. Anything that has to open files or programs kept only on your computer runs on that computer, so it needs the computer awake and the Claude app open. We schedule those during working hours.
It can. Every skill is tested on your real work before it goes live, and anything going to a customer or moving money waits for your approval.
No. We set up Claude to take paperwork and repetitive questions off your team, so they can focus on the work only they can do.
We set your Claude account so your conversations aren't used to train future models, and we don't keep copies of your files.
That only goes on plans that are allowed to handle it, with the right agreements signed. We'll tell you up front what's allowed and what isn't, and keep everything else separate.
Home / About
Samson AI Co. is a Maine family business, started by a marine engineer who spent a decade in engine rooms and came home to Saco.
I'm a Maine Maritime Academy graduate. I spent ten years at sea as a marine engineer and worked my way up to Chief Engineer, keeping generators, boilers, pumps and all the paperwork behind them running, a long way from help.
At sea, when something breaks at two in the morning, the answer is buried somewhere in thousands of pages of manuals, and somebody has to find it fast. That's how I got into AI. I built tools that find the right page in seconds and show where the answer came from, so it can be checked before anyone touches a valve.
Now I'm home in Saco, raising my family and setting up Claude for the people who keep things running ashore: the builder, the marina, the town office, the dental practice down the road.
So what's a forward deployed engineer? It means I work directly with your team. I learn how your business runs, build the AI setup around it, and test it on your real work, all over video calls.
We explain every step in everyday words.
Everything we set up lives in your own accounts and files, and we leave a written record of all of it.
An estimate before we start and a quote after the audit. Nothing outside it without your OK.
If something we set up isn't working in the first 30 days, we fix it at no charge.

The free AI check, the savings calculator and the examples on this site are for general information. They're based on the numbers you enter and on reasonable assumptions, and they aren't a promise of any particular result. Your actual savings depend on your business, your people and how the tools are used.
The chat assistant is an AI. It can be wrong, and it doesn't give legal, medical, tax or financial advice. Anything it says about our prices or services is confirmed only in a written quote from us.
Any work we do for you is covered by a separate written agreement that spells out the scope, price and payment terms. If that agreement and these terms ever disagree, the agreement wins.
Claude, ChatGPT and the other tools we set up are provided by other companies under their own terms, and you pay them directly. We're not responsible for their outages, price changes or policies, but we'll help you work through them.

On October 26, 2026, Anthropic, the company that makes Claude, filed with the SEC to go public. Filings like that are mostly numbers and legal warnings, but one line stood out to me. Anthropic points to "the gap between what Claude can do and how broadly it is used" and calls it one of its largest growth opportunities.
Put plainly, the company that builds the AI is saying the AI is ahead of the people using it. I agree, and I think the gap is widest in small businesses.
A lot of people use AI like a search box. Ask a question, copy the answer, close the tab. That works, but it's a small slice of what the paid plans can do today:
None of that happens in a blank chat box. It has to be set up.
The filing includes numbers that show how wide the gap can be, even inside large companies that already pay for Claude.
Claude Code is Anthropic's agent that works through long, multi-step jobs on its own. Same company, same AI, and the top 5% of Claude Code users spend about twenty times as much as the people who don't use it. The difference is how much work each person handed to it.
Three things get in the way.
Anthropic is working on its side of the gap. In September it began merging Claude Cowork, its agent for everyday office work, into the regular Claude app, so a quick question and a multi-step job can happen in the same conversation. In October it opened early access to Claude Duet, an agent that keeps working while you're away and asks before anything important goes out.
That helps, but someone still has to teach the app your prices, your forms and your customers.
That's what Samson AI Co. does, one job at a time:
Then we move to the next job. Start with the free 2-minute AI check, or request a quote.

On October 13, 2026, the Guardian ran a story under the headline "Companies rushed in on AI. Now some are pulling back." The gist: employers around the world moved fast on AI tools, and their staff are now spending their days cleaning up errors and low-quality work, with privacy and security risks and rising costs on top. Some of the biggest names are adding restrictions where they once encouraged experimentation, bringing experienced people back, and spending more on training.
Two numbers from the piece stuck with me. An Atlanta Federal Reserve working paper found that 90 percent of executives say AI has not yet produced productivity gains at their companies. And in an Indeed survey, more than half of employees said they aren't getting the AI training they need.
My read: the tools were handed out, and nobody set them up around the real work, tested the output against what the business produces, or wrote down what should never go into an AI and what needs a person's OK before it goes out. Microsoft's own strategy chief wrote that the company first treated AI like any other software rollout and learned that "access and usage do not equal transformation."
A Wharton professor quoted in the piece put her finger on why the damage spreads. AI output looks plausible, so a mistake isn't obvious, and it travels down the workflow before anyone catches it. Microsoft found that adding AI to a broken process leaves you with a broken process that runs faster.
The same article points to the fix through what the companies that pulled back are doing now: sustained, role-specific training instead of one-off webinars, experienced people checking the work, and clear rules on what the tools may touch. None of it is complicated, only slower than handing out logins.
We built Samson AI Co. to work this way:
If you've tried AI and it made more work, the setup was the likely problem, not the AI. Start with the free 2-minute AI check, or request a quote.

When I came home from sea and started looking at what AI could do for businesses around here, I went looking for a number first. I wanted to know who makes up the Maine economy. The answer surprised me.
Those numbers come from the U.S. Small Business Administration's 2025 profile of Maine. The second one is the one that stuck with me. Four out of every five businesses in this state are one person: the plumber who does his own books at the kitchen table, the photographer answering email at midnight, the guy with a plow truck, a phone and a spreadsheet.
Almost everything you read about AI at work is written for big companies. It talks about rolling out to thousands of employees, IT departments, security reviews and change management. Here in Maine, the IT department is whoever in the family is good with phones.
So a lot of owners did the reasonable thing. They tried Claude or ChatGPT once or twice, got a decent answer to a random question, and went back to work. The tool never knew anything about their business, so it never saved them much time.
Construction is the biggest group in the state, with 24,122 small businesses, and more than 5,600 of them have a crew. After that come professional services, real estate, repair shops and salons, retail, cleaning and landscaping, and health care. More Maine small businesses are rural than urban, by about 81,500 to 56,000. And small businesses created 98.5 percent of the net new jobs in Maine between March 2023 and March 2024.
These are businesses where every hour of paperwork comes straight out of the owner's evening.
For a business this size, we start with your day. What do you type over and over? What do you go hunting for? What do you put off until Sunday night?
Then we set Claude up to handle those jobs with your files, your format and your way of saying things. The best part is the work Claude does in the background on its own schedule: reading the morning email and lining up your day, listing who owes you money every Monday, drafting the follow-ups you keep meaning to send. It checks with you before anything goes out.
It's the same lesson I learned in the engine room: what helps most is the right answer, ready when you need it.
Pick the one job you'd most like to never do again, and that's the first thing we set up. If you're not sure which job that is, the free 2-minute AI check will tell you.

A fair first question is "Do I really need to pay for this?" For the setups we do, yes.
Claude's free plan is good for getting a feel for it. You can chat, keep up to five projects, connect a few of your apps, and use skills. But it won't do any work on its own.
The setups that save real time lean on features the free plan doesn't have. The biggest one is scheduled tasks: Claude doing work on its own every morning or every Monday, without you sitting at the computer. That's a paid feature.
| Plan | Price | Who it's for |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Trying Claude out. Chat, up to five projects, connections and skills. |
| Pro | $20 a month, or $17 a month paid yearly | One person who wants Claude doing real work: scheduled routines, Claude in your web browser, deep research, the Excel and Word add-ins, plugins, and more usage. |
| Team | $25 a seat a month, or $20 paid yearly | A business with staff. Shared projects, skills rolled out to everyone at once, and admin controls. |
| Enterprise | $20 a seat a month plus usage, 20-seat minimum | Larger organizations, and offices with stricter security or compliance needs. |
For most small businesses, the answer is Pro for a one-person shop and Team for a business with staff. You pay Anthropic directly. We never mark it up.
Every Claude plan has a privacy setting that controls whether your conversations can be used to improve future models. It's easy to miss. We check it on day one, along with who can see what in a shared team.
If your office handles patient information, talk to us before you put anything into any AI tool. That takes a plan and a written agreement built for it, and we'll tell you up front what's allowed.
ChatGPT has similar free and paid tiers, and if your team already lives in it, we'll set that up instead. For most small businesses, I recommend Claude. It's excellent at reading long documents, writing in your voice, and running routines in the background with your email, calendar and files.
The free plan is a test drive. Real time savings come from a paid plan, about $20 a month per person, set up around your business. That's what we do. Request a quote or take the free 2-minute AI check.
Prices and features from claude.com/pricing and the Claude Help Center as of October 2026. They change, so check the current page before you buy.
Most people think of AI as a chat box: you type a question, you get an answer. That's useful, but it still needs you sitting there typing. The setups that give owners their evenings back are the ones that run on their own.
Claude can now do work on a schedule. We set it up once, and every morning, or every Monday, or the first of the month, it does the job and has the results waiting. Routines that work from your email, calendar and online files run on Anthropic's side, so they keep going even when your computer is asleep. And nothing goes out the door without your OK.
Here are five worth starting with.
Every morning before you're up, Claude reads the new email, sorts out the three that actually need you, and drafts the replies. If someone is asking for a quote or a document, it finds it in your files and puts the link in the draft. Then it asks: "Dave asked for the deck quote. Reply's ready. Want me to send it?"
Every Monday, Claude goes through your invoice spreadsheet, lists who's past due and by how much, and drafts a short, friendly reminder for each one. You read them over coffee and send the ones you want.
Claude keeps an eye on orders and appointments that haven't been confirmed yet, drafts a nudge to whoever hasn't answered, and puts confirmed delivery dates straight onto your calendar.
One page every Friday afternoon: what got done this week, what's still waiting on someone, what's on the calendar next week, and anything that slipped through the cracks.
For the towns, plants and offices that owe somebody a report every month, Claude drafts it from your logs and last month's version. You check the numbers and sign, and the report no longer eats your whole day.
That's the part we do. If one of these sounds like your week, request a quote or take the free 2-minute AI check.
Scheduled tasks are available on Claude's paid plans, per the Claude Help Center as of October 2026. Tasks that need files or programs kept only on your own computer run on that computer, so it has to be awake with the Claude app open.
